We are looking for a Janitor/Cleaner to ensure our new college building on Canal Street and its surrounding environment is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness every day. This is a part time post working 20 hours per week, term time only.

You will need to be able to work outside in all weathers (appropriate PPE will be provided) and be able to cope with changes in temperature.

The duties of this role will include mopping, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning toilets and showers, scrubbing, polishing and/or buffing floors, shampooing of carpets, cleaning all internal glass, mirrors and all outwardly facing windows and doors, removal of rubbish and reporting faults.

In addition to this, you will be responsible for outside areas, grounds clearing and litter removal and as such you will need to be flexible and adaptable to the needs of the post.

Experience of cleaning in an industrial, education environment or other similar experience is essential as is the ability to communicate effectively with staff, students and the public.
