0.5 Music Technician

Term time only - 38 weeks per year

Stratford-upon-Avon College is seeking a Music Technician who has expertise in Live Sound, Studio recording, musical instrument set up and maintenance. You will be responsible for the maintenance and efficient running of the Music Studio, Music Mac Room, and Rehearsal Bunkers. You will assist students through the demonstration of advanced technical processes and also supervise areas/studios and Bunkers during independent study sessions. You will also be required to provide support music production and live performances including technical support of the event along with set up and pack down.

You will be a good team member, self-motivated and possess good broad-based technical skills in Music Technology and Live Sound. Technician support experience within a School, College or University would be advantageous. Professional experience working in the live event or music industry is desirable.

A relevant Level 5 Visual Arts qualification or willingness to work towards is essential as is industry and / or educational experience.

You will be expected to work 18.5 hours across Monday to Friday mornings, these hours will need to be flexible based on the need of the department. There will also be occasions where you will be asked to work over your contracted hours and will be paid overtime for this.
