IT Technician

Pembrokeshire College is looking to appoint an IT Technician to work in a progressive IT environment, with a central focus on the student experience. We pride ourselves in making the most of advances in technology to maximise what we can deliver, this is a diverse and interesting role. 

Salary: £18,666—£21,189 BAR £21,446—£22,995 per annum

Hours of Work: Full-Time; 37 hours per week (Monday-Friday)

Contract Type: Salaried—Permanent

Holiday Entitlement: 28 days per year (plus statutory bank holidays)

Qualifications: It is essential to hold a relevant level 3 qualification. It is highly desirable to hold a relevant Level 4 qualification i.e. HNC

Experience: 
The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate relevant experience and be suitably IT literate.  Candidates should demonstrate       experience in implementing and maintaining PC’s and printers in Microsoft environment ideally using Novell ZenWorks or similar for PC imaging and deployment. Cisco telephony experience would also be beneficial.

Details:
The IT Technician has responsibility for assisting both staff and students with their computing needs, including the provision of computer imaging, application delivery and technical issues. They will need to provide the best possible customer service from the IT Helpdesk and complete jobs from the Computer Services work schedule as allocated by the Computer Support Team Leader.
