WHAT WE DO 

The School of Business requires an enthusiastic Assessor with a range of skills to support and deliver a range of apprenticeships including Business Administration, Customer Service and Team Leading. This advert is for an Apprenticeship Assessor in Business Administration. This role will include visiting apprentices in their work placement to assess competence against the national standards, building and developing relationships with employers and ensuring learners make progress and achieve their apprenticeships. You will be responsible for the delivery of a caseload of work, which will include assessment and training activities remotely, in college training sessions and the workplace. You will ensure that appropriate developments are undertaken to support delivery against quality assurance, self-assessment processes, caseload targets and objectives. You will be a qualified assessor with experience of assessing one or more of the range of business apprenticeships that we deliver. You will also have experience in training cohorts of apprentices. You will be joining a supportive team that is passionate about learning and development.

The role will be based at the Printworks Campus, which boosts a range of outstanding facilities including workshops, salons, kitchens & deli and other innovative teaching spaces. You should have good communication skills, be able to work both independently and as part of a team, and be fully committed to working with and supporting apprentices.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Classroom delivery of the knowledge criteria
  • Assess the apprentice’s skills and behaviours
  • Complete observations of the apprentice, in the workplace
  • Assess the knowledge criteria of the apprenticeship and give robust feedback
  • Complete training learning and assessment plans at every meeting
  • Complete 8 weekly reviews with apprentice and their manager
  • Support the apprentice to complete their apprenticeship in a timely manner
  • Support apprentices with off the job training
  • Support the End Point Assessment process
  • Produce learning resources
  • Use an online portfolio

YOUR PROFILE 

  • Experience of assessing Business Admin Level 3, Customer Service Level 2 and Team Leading Level 3
  • A good communicator who can work as part of a team or autonomously
  • Assessor's Award
  • Maths and English at Level 2 or above
  • A teaching qualification
