Aspire Teaching and Learning Manager

Pembrokeshire College has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and appropriately qualified individual to join the Aspire Team as a Teaching and Learning Manager. You will support the Quality, Teaching and Learning Manager by managing the THRIVE Teaching and Learning programme. This will include programme planning, implementation and monitoring, alongside overseeing Aspire Coach activity.

Salary Details:       MS1 Fixed - £41,919 pro rata

Contract Type:       Full Time - initially fixed term to 31 July 2023                 

Hours of work:      
37 hours per week  (up to 167 teaching hours per academic year)

Annual Leave Entitlement: 
37 days annual leave plus statutory public holidays & College closure days.  

Qualifications: 

  • As a minimum it is essential to hold a PGCE/PCE qualification or relevant equivalent, together with a relevant professional qualification at level 5 or above. 
  • It is desirable to hold a management or supervisory qualification at level 3 or above

Experience:

  • As a minimum It is essential to have a minimum of 3 years recent teaching experience post PGCE/PCE (or equivalent) qualification. 
  • It is desirable to have experience of project management and/or be able to demonstrate success through working with groups of individuals to promote and encourage change.

You will demonstrate initiative, have an organised and structured approach to project management and must have the ability to not only meet you own targets / deadlines, but implement deadlines for others, within the project scope. You will be an excellent communicator, providing a high level of support for Teaching and Learning teams, and a passion to see the THRIVE programme working effectively and everyone involved achieve success.  The successful candidate will be an experienced ‘people person’ who can work with all colleagues.
