We have an exciting opportunity for a part-time Animal Welfare and Management Lecturer at the College.

You will participate in curriculum development to meet the needs of changing industrial demand and College development. You will be involved in demonstrations and practical activities with students and trainees on all courses. Lecturers also participate in internal verification, auditing and other quality monitoring processes to ensure that all learners, customers and clients receive exemplary service and attention at all times.

The College’s Animal Welfare facilities at the Moulton Campus include a purpose built Animal Welfare Centre, an Animal Therapy Centre housing grooming and canine hydrotherapy units and an on-site commercial veterinary practice. Students studying Animal Management programmes are also taught on the College estate and are given the opportunity to be involved with animal related activities to enhance their educational journey.

The post holder must have a broad range of knowledge and industry experience working with a wide range of animals, including small mammals, exotics and large animals. Post holder should have an excellent knowledge base in Animal Health, Biology, Behaviour, Nutrition and Welfare and have experience working with young people.

The post holder should hold a degree level qualification in this field, in addition to a wealth of industry experience. The candidate should ideally hold a teaching and assessment qualification or be willing to work towards this.
