We are seeking to appoint Senior Learning and Care Support Assistant to coordinate the provision of Additional Learning Support for students at Harrow College. Working with the Specialist Medical Coordinator and the EHC Coordinator, you will provide advice and guidance on effective support strategies, and will be involved in the design, development and implementation of Individual Care Plans, risk Assessments and Individual Support Plans for students with profound and complex needs. You will also manage a team of Learning and Care Support Assistants and ensure the completion of relevant administration.
You will be trained in Manual Handling, First Aid, Safe Administration of Medication, Epilepsy, Anaphylaxis, Dysphasia and Diabetes including the safe administration of Insulin. You will possess experience providing learning support for young people and people with learning difficulties/disabilities, and will have sound knowledge of effective support and intervention strategies for learners with Profound and Complex SEND. You will have experience of assessing children/young people to identify individual needs, a good understanding of the range and types of interventions available and experience of producing Individual Care Plans. You will also possess strong administrative and organisational skills, be able to liaise effectively with staff across the College and be able to lead a team effectively.
