The School of Computing and IT is a constantly developing and consistently successful area of the College, delivering programmes from Level 1 to Level 5. The School’s Uxbridge section offers full time programmes in a number of specialist areas including Games Development, Visual Effects and Cyber Security.
We are seeking a full time Lecturer to join our successful Computing and IT team, to specialise in IT Security, computer hardware and networking. You will teach across a range of programmes and assist in the development of the Security provision offered.
You will possess a degree in a Computing subject and have teaching/training experience in the subject area. You will need to have extensive knowledge and experience of at least one of the following areas: Computer Networking, IT Security, Penetration Testing, Cryptography or Computer Forensics. You should also have knowledge of Packet Tracer, and either Ubuntu Linux or Kali Linux, or qualifications in at least two of the following areas: Comptia A+, Comptia Network+ or Comptia Security+. You should have good communication and interpersonal skills and be able to engage young people aged 16-19. You will either possess or be willing to achieve an advanced level teaching qualification, which will be supported financially in full by the College over the two year period of the course.
The College has recently introduced a Working from Home policy. You may be able to work a proportion of your work time from home. Working from Home may be possible where this does not adversely impact on the operational needs of the College.
