Tutor in Counselling

HPT contract 2021/22 academic year, ending 31/08/2022

CU London is seeking an hourly paid tutor in Counselling to undertake teaching, learning and assessment duties across related courses. We are looking for a positive and enthusiastic individual who has a genuine passion for teaching and is able to make a meaningful contribution to the student experience.

Reporting to the Course Leader, you will work as an integral member of the academic team, taking responsibility for the development and delivery of teaching and learning materials, managing student assessment and feedback and supporting curriculum development. You will support the course team in ensuring student retention, progression and completion rates are achieved to expected levels. It is essential that you adopt a collegiate approach to working with colleagues, both within CU London and across the wider Coventry University Group.

You will actively engage with events, workshops and extracurricular activities to ensure students receive an enhanced experience beyond their core course content. An ability to network and engage with external stakeholders to enrich the student experience would be an advantage. An excellent standard in IT and communication skills, along with the ability to meet deadlines, is essential for this role. This role will be based at our Dagenham campus.
