We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated member of staff to work with us as a lecturer within the School of Construction and the Built Environment on a fixed term and supply basis. You will be based in Inverness.

Job Purpose:

We are seeking a suitably skilled person who enjoys teaching and learning to work within our School of Construction and the Built Environment delivering on our Carpentry and Joinery courses.  You will be required to deliver curriculum in an innovative manner with a focus on the sectors best practice. Being an effective team member and able to deliver a high-quality curriculum and educational experience is a key focus of this role.

Essential Criteria:

  • Qualified to Advanced Craft / PDA Level 7 Carpentry and Joinery or equivalent.
  • Have relevant industrial experience.
  • Have current and relevant evidence of CPD.

You should also be flexible, reflective, innovative, creative and personally committed to continuing vocational and professional development.

You should possess effective interpersonal skills and have good IT skills in applications such as MS Office and other relevant subject related software packages.

Please note: the successful post holder will need to pass a satisfactory PVG Scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland prior to commencing employment.
