Askham Bryan College is a specialist land-based college based across the North of England.

We have an exciting opportunity for a FE Course Manager/ Lecturer to join the Animal Management Department based at our Wakefield Centre. We are looking for a highly motivated individual capable of working within a small team environment delivering a high standard of education across our level 2 / 3 programmes. You will have a high degree of enthusiasm for teaching and be knowledgeable about the animal management sector with the ability to teach the basic core elements of the Animal Management curriculum to include such as Health, Husbandry and Behaviour and ideally experience in related areas such as  Business, Wildlife Management and Rehabilitation and Ecology and Conservation with preferable experience in field surveying.

The role is full time working 37 hours per week over 5 days on a permanent contract. 

The successful candidate will report to the Centre Manager and be responsible for the planning and delivery of teaching on both our level 2 and level 3 programmes with course management responsibilities involving the day to day management of students, tracking of their academic progress and include academic / study skills support where required.   

Educated to degree level or above in a relevant subject, candidates will ideally have a working knowledge across a range of subject areas and should hold or be willing to work towards a teaching qualification. 

Successful applicants will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check.
