Lecturer / Assessor - Electrical / Electronic Engineering

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Electrical/Electronic Engineering specialist with industry experience and classroom experience up to Level 5. The post holder will deliver a mixture of theory and practical sessions as part of the teaching element of the role, using a range of software and hardware to create outstanding lessons. 


The post holder will also assess on a range of apprenticeship programmes, providing high levels of assessment for candidates to achieve a high level of occupational competence against both apprenticeship frameworks/standards, instilling the necessary skills, knowledge, behaviours required in their occupation. The post holder will also coach and mentor apprentices towards completion of their EPA, ensuring they are ready for completion.


The successful applicant will have:

  • A Level 4/5 in an Electrical and/or Electronic Engineering qualification
  • Relevant Level 5 teaching qualification (or committed to work towards in line with contractual requirements)
  • Level 3 Assessor Award or equivalent (or committed to work towards)


It would be desirable if the successful applicant also has:
 

  • A Level 6 Degree in Electrical and/or Electronic Engineering
  • Award in Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice or similar qualification.
