An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of Facilities to join our team at the College. You will be integral in supporting the Estates & Facilities Director in planning and delivering a world-class College environment whilst playing a central role in modernising working practices and ensuring delivery of the highest standards of customer care.

We are looking for someone with extensive Facilities Management and/or asset management experience coupled with experience in the management of a high quality, effective and cost efficient project management service with specific customer focus.

You will be responsible for developing the commercial income from the letting of property and operation of the facilities including implementing opportunities, which deliver income generation.

You will also provide strategic direction and leadership to all of the Facilities Services Teams (including: Health and Safety, Catering, Cleaning, Post, Premises Management, and Security) demonstrating broad, clear and innovative thinking with the objective of delivering operational excellence.

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) are essential as you will be responsible for building positive collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders at all levels within the College and externally including Governors, the Senior Leadership team and project sponsors.

You will also possess a high level of analytical and problem-solving skills, as you will be responsible for producing reports, including budget reports, which clearly set out complex issues for governors and senior managers.

In addition to this, we are looking for someone who is able to successfully lead and develop a team whilst working effectively as a member of that team.

You will be part of an out of hours’ rota working evenings and/or weekends and out of hours as required including responding to emergency situations.
