Finance Business Partner

DN Colleges Group is looking to appoint a Finance Business Partner to join its Finance department.

This is an exciting time of expansion and growth for the Group, that operates from two Colleges, Doncaster College and North Lindsey College in Scunthorpe. DNCG will be able to provide you with the opportunity to develop your career and contribute to our ongoing success.

You will be an enthusiastic, pro-active hands on finance professional, who is comfortable getting involved in various areas of College finance, and will work with both non-financial academic colleagues as well as other business service colleagues

The ideal applicant will have excellent communication skills and be able to develop and maintain solid working relationships to assist budget holders in the preparation of forecasts and provide key information to assist in budget management.

As part of this role you will need to have effective business partnering skills, derived from experience in communicating financial reports, effective negotiation and the ability to analyse complex information and reach robust conclusions.

You will need to demonstrate excellent numeracy and literacy skills with attention to detail and be able to manage competing priorities whilst working under pressure.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing detailed, good quality financial information in order to enhance decision making, enable delivery of strategic initiatives and improve financial performance. In addition you will be responsible for overseeing the purchase ledger function.

You will be educated to degree or AAT level with strong numerical skills, attention to detail and experience in preparing timely and accurate monthly management accounts information. With an in-depth understanding of financial processes, you will also have excellent IT skills (Excel) and understand finance software.

You should be self-motivated and analytical, able to work under pressure to meet deadlines, and ideally have experience working within further education. Successful candidates will be expected to travel between the two sites.
