Facilities Operative (Gorseinon)

The Facilities Operative will carry out general maintenance and temporary repairs to property, fixtures and fittings and to ensure the security of the premises, together with its contents. You will be expected to work flexibly across all of the College campuses and with working shift patterns. The Facilities Operative will be required to attend in cases of emergency call-outs e.g. flood, fire, intruders and take such action as required (e.g. marshalling etc) and participate in an out of hour’s rota.

With previous experience in a similar role you will ideally possess an NVQ Level 3 in a relevant craft and hold or be willing to work towards First Aid and IOSH qualifications. You will have up to date knowledge of COSHH and Health & Safety procedures, including manual handling, be able to negotiate heights and confined spaces.  The flexibility to work evenings and at weekends is essential together with the ability to travel to the various College sites.

Bydd y Gweithiwr Cyfleusterau yn gwneud gwaith cynnal a chadw cyffredinol ac atgyweiriadau dros dro ar eiddo, gosodiadau a ffitiadau ac i sicrhau diogelwch y safle, ynghyd â’i gynnwys. Bydd disgwyl i chi weithio’n hyblyg ar draws holl gampysau’r Coleg a chyda phatrymau shifftiau gweithio. Bydd yn ofynnol i’r Gweithiwr Cyfleusterau fynd allan i alwadau brys e.e. llifogydd, tân, tresmaswyr a chymryd unrhyw gamau yn ôl yr angen (e.e. marsialio ac ati) a chymryd rhan mewn rota y tu allan i oriau.

Gyda phrofiad blaenorol mewn rôl debyg, yn ddelfrydol, byddwch yn meddu ar gymhwyster NVQ Lefel 3 mewn crefft berthnasol a chymhwyster Cymorth Cyntaf ac IOSH neu fod yn barod i weithio tuag ato. Bydd gennych wybodaeth gyfoes o COSHH a gweithdrefnau Iechyd a Diogelwch, gan gynnwys codi a chario, gallu trafod uchderau a lleoedd cyfyng.
