We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated member of staff to work with us as a Quality Officer based at Inverness Campus.
We are seeking a Quality Officer to assist in all aspects of the service provided by the Quality Unit; to ensure that efficient and effective quality assurance and improvement methods are implemented, maintained and evaluated; to support college staff in the implementation of the quality agenda.
- Liaising with and co-ordinating external verifier visits, external audits and dissemination of information to awarding bodies.
- To co-ordinate and manage the process of collection, collation and dissemination of course reports, self-evaluation reports and operational plans.
- To track and audit the implementation of college’s internal verification processes.
- To co-ordinate and manage the college’s complaints processes, ensuring timeous response and satisfactory outcomes
- To manage the reviewing and updating of information relating to quality to ensure the content is relevant and fit for purpose
- To co-ordinate and manage the college’s internal approval processes, follow through with awarding bodies and follow up conditions and recommendations with course teams.
- To co-ordinate the activity of, and draft reports for the appropriate college committees.
- To co-ordinate and support the processes of developing, implementing and monitoring college strategies, policies, and procedures.
- To work with key College staff to produce and review agreed internal audit processes and timetables against agreed quality frameworks.
- To develop appropriate and workable quality processes and procedures; to recommend improvements in procedures and processes to improve organisational effectiveness and efficiency; and to support college staff to implement and evaluate the processes and procedures
- To develop and maintain databases which allow the Quality Team to identify, manage and analyse relevant data to support the College’s quality agenda.
- To work with college staff to improve their understanding and implementation of Scottish Funding Council Quality Standards, awarding body criteria, UHI standards and regulations and other quality standards relevant to college activity.
- To co-ordinate and undertake internal audit tasks as appropriate to the needs of the college/demands of the awarding bodies
- To prepare reports and statistical information (quality) for college committees
- Support the college’s student engagement strategy and liaise with the student association.
- Minimum HND (SCQF Level 8) Qualification in a related business or management subject.
- You should possess effective interpersonal skills and have a good level of IT skills in applications such as MS Office.
- Experience in an office environment, including developing and reviewing processes and procedures.
- Possess an understanding of quality frameworks for education.
- You should also be flexible, reflective, innovative, creative, and personally committed to continuing vocational and professional development.
