Construction Technician

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team of Technician’s supporting a range of workshop activities.

You will prepare work areas and materials for practical classes and maintain accurate stock levels. In addition you will ensure the resources and tools are stored securely and work in line with current legislation, codes of practice and College policies. You will support students in the completion of their practical work under the direction of members of the teaching staff and be committed to promoting the college’s commitment to best practice in equality, diversity & inclusion.

Ideally you will be able to demonstrate experience of working with young people and evidence strong communication skills. You will have good numeracy and literacy skills and be prepared to use basic IT systems although training will be provided if necessary. A Fork Lift Truck licence would be an advantage although not essential. We would particularly welcome applications from those with a background in plumbing and/or carpentry.
