Askham Bryan College is a specialist land-based college based across the North of England.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Football Coach to join our Sport and Public Services Department here at our York campus. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is capable of working with others and is responsible, passionate and knowledgeable about football and has an enthusiastic approach to coaching/teaching.
This role will be working 5 hours per week, (Tuesday and Wednesday pm) on a term-time, variable hours, fixed term contract until 30th June 2022.
The successful candidate will report to the Head of Department, and assist the course manager of the football programme to train and manage the players. We are currently in the AOC (Association of Colleges) League and Cup and playing fixtures home and away.
It is expected that candidates will hold at least an FA Level 2 football coaching qualification and holding a D1 driving licence would be highly advantageous. Ideally candidates would be educated to degree level or above in a relevant subject and should hold or be willing to work towards a teaching qualification.
It is our vision for this new member of the team to enhance our current delivery and contribute towards developing a curriculum that meet the needs of our local employers. Above all, the successful candidate will be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines whilst having a student centred and enthusiastic approach.
Successful applicants will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check.
We offer a pleasant, safe and friendly environment in which to work and our employees enjoy a range of generous benefits including 35 days annual leave (pro-rata) in addition to bank holidays, ample free parking, canteen facilities, Teacher’s Pension and a range of employee benefits as well as the opportunity to work within spectacular grounds.
