Want to inspire the young engineers of the future?

The Faculty of Engineering at offers students the opportunity to study a wide variety of courses from entry level to Level 5 Higher National Diploma in a range of disciplines. Teaching and learning is carried out in a modern building with industry standard facilities and resources. 

We are looking for a variety of skills;
Advanced milling and turning lecturer for level 2 and 3 including apprenticeship
Familiarity with Internal Quality Assurance processes
Welding – MIG/TIG/MMA 
Industrial experience essential 

You will be a confident teacher/trainer who has the skills to inspire students, colleagues and employers. You will have an imaginative approach to teaching that generates creative lessons to fully engage and inspire your students to achieve at the highest possible level. We encourage applicants that have the necessary industrial experience but are looking for a new challenge through teaching and inspire the future engineering giants in our area. 

You should have recent experience of teaching or mentoring, and have the ability to work as part of a team to develop and share innovative and stimulating teaching and learning resources.

We ask that you are passionate about teaching in the Further Education sector, and be committed to sharing your expertise with our learners so they can make great progress in their studies. 

A teaching qualification is desirable, or you must be willing to work towards gaining one, which the College will support. Above all, you must be passionate about being a professional educator to young people.
