We are looking for a Student Recruitment Officer - Full Time permanent position.

  • Support Scale 6: Salary- £24,738 - £26,374 Per Annum

Oldham College is a medium sized general further education college, with a turnover of almost £25m. It has one main campus in the centre of town, and this in the third phases of a £40m redevelopment which began in 2012. Higher education is taught on a second, dedicated campus, a short walk away. The College delivers a full range of work related education and training, including 16-18 programmes of study, T levels, apprenticeships, adult learning and higher education. It has over 5000 full-time students and 600 undergraduates.

The College is in the top quartile for 16-18 programmes of study and English GCSE resits, and in apprenticeship provision, but is the second highest performing provider Greater Manchester. The quality of its higher education provision is better than many established universities.

The Role:

You will be part of a small, highly driven team that engages with schools and colleges on a regular basis to promote all that the College has offer. You will create and deliver inspirational and aspirational presentations and deliver these with confidence in assemblies and lessons. You will also attend various other events such as Options Evenings and Parents Evenings, meaning you may frequently work out-of-hours – on these occasions you will be expected to amend your working day i.e. start later and finish later.

You will have outstanding customer service standards and be confident in delivering key messages for post 16 education and be a strong advocate for technical and professional education, and be an exemplary ambassador for Oldham College.
