Sessional Tutor English

Fixed Term until July 2022

Morley College London at the Chelsea Centre for the Creative Industries is looking to recruit  inspirational, committed and innovative variable hours tutors in English to join its community.

Established in 1889, and with our roots stretching back even further, Morley College London is one of the country's oldest and largest specialist providers of adult education. The Chelsea Centre for the Creative Industries (CCCI) specialises in creative learning including its Essential Skills provision and provides both accredited and unaccredited short courses.

We are seeking exceptional tutors with a successful track record of delivering high-quality teaching and learning to teach a range of English courses including Functional Skills at all levels and GCSE across both our adult and 16 – 18 provision, including some evening and Saturday delivery.

The successful applicant will have experience in delivering innovative and creative teaching and learning in class and online and possess an up-to-date and in-depth knowledge of curriculum delivery. They will also have the ability to use inspiring teaching methods and produce engaging teaching materials. Experience of AQA GCSE and Pearson Functional Skills qualifications would be an advantage, although not strictly necessary.

We welcome new and innovative voices, thrilled by the experience of being a part of the transformative power of learning.  You may have recently completed your teacher training and are looking for your first role or you may be keen to begin a new adventure.

You will join an academic community of specialists and will have a voice in shaping the centre’s future as we continue to grow a contemporary curriculum for a diverse range of young people and adult learners at this centre, part of Morley College London.
