Motor Vehicle Instructor/Technician
Askham Bryan College is a specialist land-based college based across the North of England.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Motor Vehicle Instructor/Technician to join our Motorsport department on a full-time basis here at York, within spectacular grounds.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to work closely with the Head of Department and other team members to drive forward quality and ensure high standards within all elements of the study programme.
This role will be working 37 hours per week, on a full year, permanent contract.
Applicants should have at least a level 3 qualification in an engineering/motor vehicle related area and have relevant current experience working in industry. The successful applicant will be required to deliver lively and interactive instruction and assessment activities predominately in a workshop environment on a range of motorsport and motor vehicle programmes from level 1 to level 3. In addition to this the post will also include working alongside course managers in the preparation of workshop areas for practical teaching, maintaining stock of consumables and also working closely with the workshop manager to install, maintain and repair equipment and facilities.
Teaching experience, possession of a teaching qualification, assessor and verifier awards would be highly advantageous.
