Kirklees College is a large successful FE college, currently Ofsted graded as Good. Operating across Kirklees with centres based in Huddersfield and Dewsbury.  
 
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work within a modern building, with excellent on site facilities, such as a fully equipped gym, hair & beauty salons and fine dining restaurant.

7.5 hours (3 evenings a week) 40 weeks a year

We are looking for someone with excellent customer service skills to join our team providing a service to evening students 3 nights a week. Tuesday, Wednesday Thursday evenings 5.00pm to 7.30pm.  This post is 40 weeks of the year term time only running from mid August to early July each year.

The right person will be able to think on their feet, multi-task and problem solve while maintaining a smile on their face. Our team are the first point of contact for visitors to the college and manage the college switchboard. Students can also access a one-stop shop for a variety of services via our counter service.  In addition the team enrol thousands of students each year so we are looking for someone with an eye for detail who can accurately data input and fee assess students to maximise funding opportunities. The role is predominantly based in our Huddersfield Waterfront Campus, but may be expected to work at any of our centres across Kirklees when required.

The qualifications deemed essential for the post are a minimum of a Level 2 qualification in literacy and numeracy (e.g. GCSE English and Maths at grade A*-C) and a customer service / business admin based qualification. People without the qualifications but with proven experience in an appropriate setting will be considered. The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is also essential for the post.
