We have a great opportunity based at our Bedford campus for a Facilities Assistant to become a key member of our Estates and Facilities department.
As a Facilities Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in the success of our students through:
- Providing a full range of services to ensure the facilities’ overall environment fully supports the aims and visions of the Bedford College Group.
- Patrolling College premises and property to maximise physical security of all assets and to provide a visible security presence.
- Monitoring the activities of visitors and contractors' staff to ensure the security of the building and contents.
Our ideal candidates will have knowledge of the service provided and expected of a modern facilities management team and experience of working with the public and experience of working with young people, alongside the willingness to undertake relevant training.

Contract Type – Bedford College Professional Services Ltd (BCPS Ltd)
40 hours per week (1.0 FTE) / 52 weeks per year
27 days holiday, plus Bank Holidays per annum
An Enhanced DBS check will be required and you will be required to declare any convictions, cautions, reprimands or final warnings, which would not be filtered in line with current guidance.
