Automotive Body Repair Specialist - EMTEC

Due to continued growth within Emtec, Nottingham College’s Automotive Training & Education division. We are currently looking for high calibre individuals to join our established team. While the role will primarily be based at our state of the art training facility in Ruddington. There will be a requirement to travel nationally and internationally and deliver training in other venues.

Contract: 37 hours per week, Permanent

If you are an experienced automotive body repair training professional and looking for your next big challenge then we would like to hear from you. We would also like to hear from individuals still working in industry who are looking to move into Training & Education.

Ideal candidates will be target driven self-manager’s with a proven track record of delivering high standards of automotive teaching, learning and assessment. With experience of delivering training and assessment both face to face, virtual and via blended e-learning platforms.

Essential requirements:

Experience delivering Adult Technical training/assessment (theoretical and practical)
Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training (or equivalent) or willing to achieve at the earliest opportunity
Assessor Qualification D32/D33, A1, Level 3 Assessors Award or willing to achieve at the earliest opportunity
A good level of computer literacy, experience with course development software a distinct advantage
Minimum Level 3 qualification in area of expertise
Relevant industry experience 
Minimum Level 2 English and Maths 
Valid UK Passport (for International Travel)
Full UK Driving Licence and use of a vehicle

General Duties:

Research, development and design of vehicle repair methods
Design and development of technical courses, schemes of work and course material
Delivery of theoretical and practical training in line with the technical syllabus 
Delivery of both face to face and virtual teaching sessions (pre-recorded & live)
Delivery of pre training and IMI Accredited Assessments
National and international travel to carry out training, coaching & assessment
Develop effective working relationships with all key stakeholders 
Provide regular learning development progress reports to management and other stakeholders
Undertake regular technical & educational CPD in order to maintain high standards 
Act as an ambassador of the organisation and actively promote the service offer
