This is an exciting opportunity for someone to join the rapidly expanding Work Experience Team at Nottingham College. This is a fundamental role that supports our students, helping them to gain work experience and begin their first steps in their career. Through a number of work experience opportunities our students gain employability and self-management skills along with building on their confidence and gaining a better understanding of the industry.
This role is employer focused and involves building strong working relationships with local organisations and working with them to provide work experience opportunities for our students. These opportunities include work placements and employer enrichment opportunities such as guest speaker sessions and interactive Q&As.
As well as employer engagement and account management there is also the responsibility to work with a Work Placement Achievement Coach, a member of the team that focuses on the student support aspect of work experience. Working as a pair you will be expected to ensure work experience is relevant to the students’ qualifications and match the appropriate student with the most suitable placements.
This role has a high level of autonomy and therefore self-management, organisation, reliability and professionalism are key at all times. Strong communication, the ability to chair meetings and IT skills are required with a working knowledge of the full Microsoft Office suite. Experience within this sector or an account management background is not essential but would be beneficial.
