We have an exciting opportunity for a University Centre Lecturer in Animal Science, specialising in all aspects of animal science, including animal anatomy and physiology, animal health and research methods here at our York campus. This is a fixed term role until 31st July 2022 working 22.2 hours per week. There may be the option for this role to switch to permanent for the right candidate.
The ideal candidate should hold a formal level 7 qualification or higher, either in the subject area or possess extensive working knowledge in the subject area. You will lead on the teaching of core animal science and research focused modules. Working closely with the course team in the university centre and Askham Bryan Science Centre to support the delivery of the core modules across under and post graduate degrees.
You will have excellent communication skills, be experienced with Microsoft programs and be willing to work flexibly to meet the needs of the business and support outstanding student experience, marketing opportunities and industry engagement.
