An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a successful team as an Assessor in Childcare. The successful candidate will assess learners within the Children’s Care, Play Learning and Development (CCPLD) sector levels 2, 3 and 5.

You will be instrumental in supporting the learner to achieve the corresponding qualification and work with employers to ensure organisational and individual goals are met.

With experience of working in the child care sector and an understanding of the qualifications, you will ideally possess a level 5 qualification. An A1 Assessor award would also be desirable together with the competence to deliver and assess CCPLD qualifications up to level 5. Level 2 (GCSE or equivalent) literacy & numeracy qualification is essential for this post.

With excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong ILT skills you will have the ability to deliver sessions to a high standard in order to motivate, inspire and transfer knowledge to the learner. With attention to detail you will be target driven with a strong focus on quality.

This post has been deemed Welsh Essential at Level 3 (see Welsh Language Level Descriptors attached to job description) however we would also be interested in candidates who are not at this level but would be willing to work towards it.

Applications may be submitted in Welsh and will be treated no less favourably than applications submitted in English.  Gower College Swansea recognises the importance of delivering its services in Welsh and recognises the need to grow its bilingual workforce.  We therefore encourage applications from candidates who can demonstrate good Welsh Language skills

Gower College Swansea is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and expects all staff to share this commitment.  Appointments are subject to an enhanced DBS check and require registration with the Education Workforce Council for Wales.

Please note that we are expecting a high volume applicants for this vacancy.  If we do, we may close the post before the specified date, therefore an early application is recommended.

Mae cyfle cyffrous wedi codi i ymuno â thîm llwyddiannus fel Aseswr mewn Gofal plant. Bydd yr ymgeisydd llwyddiannus asesu dysgwyr y sector Gofal, Chwarae, Dysgu a Datblygiad Plant (CCPLD) lefelau 2, 3 a 5.

Byddwch yn allweddol wrth gefnogi’r dysgwr i ennill cymhwyster cyfatebol a gweithio gyda chyflogwyr i sicrhau y cyrhaeddir amcanion sefydliadol ac unigol.

Bydd gennych brofiad o weithio yn y sector gofal plant a dealltwriaeth o’r cymwysterau ac, yn ddelfrydol, bydd gennych gymhwyster lefel 5. Byddai cymhwyster Asesu A1 hefyd yn ddymunol, ynghyd â’r cymhwysedd i asesu Cymwysterau CCPLD hyd at lefel 5. Mae Lefel 2 (TGAU neu gyfatebol) mewn llythrennedd a rhifedd yn hanfodol ar gyfer y swydd hon.

Bydd gennych sgiliau cyfathrebu ardderchog yn ysgrifenedig ac ar lafar a sgiliau hyfforddiant a arweinir (ILT) a bydd gennych y gallu i gyflwyno sesiynau o safon er mwyn ysgogi ac ysbrydoli’r dysgwyr gan drosglwyddo gwybodaeth iddynt. Byddwch yn drylwyr, yn uchelgeisiol o ran targedau a byddwch yn canolbwyntio’n gryf ar ansawdd.

Ystyrir y swydd hon yn swydd lle mae’r Gymraeg hyd at Lefel 3 yn hanfodol (gweler y Disgrifydd Lefel Iaith Gymraeg sy’n atodedig i’r swydd ddisgrifiad). Fodd bynnag, byddem hefyd yn hoffi clywed gan ymgeiswyr nad ydynt ar y lefel hon ond yr hoffent weithio tuag ati.

Ni cheir ceisiadau Cymraeg eu trin yn llai ffafriol na cheisiadau Saesneg.

Mae Coleg Gwyr Abertawe yn ymrwymedig i ddiogelu a hyrwyddo lles pobl ifanc ac yn disgwyl i’r holl staff rhannu’r ymrwymiad hwn. Bydd penodiadau eu gwneud ar sail gwiriad DBS manylach a bydd gofyn i chi ymaelodi â Chyngor Gweithlu Addysg Cymru.

(Rydym yn disgwyl nifer fawr o ymgeiswyr ar gyfer y swydd wag hon. Os derbynnir llawer o geisiadau, efallai y byddwn yn atal unigolion rhag cyflwyno cais cyn y dyddiad penodedig. Awgrymir felly ichi gyflwyno’ch cais yn gynnar.

Fel rheol, bydd penodiadau yn cael eu gwneud ar waelod y raddfa gyflog gyda chynyddrannau blynyddol ar 1 Awst bob blwyddyn (ar yr amod eich bod wedi cwblhau 6 mis o wasanaeth).
