Luminate Education Group consists of; Harrogate College (HC), Keighley College (KC), Leeds City College (LCC), Leeds Conservatoire (LC) and White Rose Academies Trust (WRAT). Luminate Education Group is one of the fastest improving and most innovative education groups in the country.
The Performance and Project Lead is a eight month fixed term role that will coordinate, monitor and report on the Prince's Trust Health & Social Care Project.
WHAT WE DO
Careers, Work Experience and Progression is part of the Student Life Directorate and leads on activities and strategies which contribute to an outstanding further education student experience closely aligned with the college and group strategic objectives.
Careers, Work Experience and Progression (CWP) supports students through guidance, opportunities and experience to make informed life choices about their career pathway and destination.
The Prince's Trust Health & Social Care Project is intended for 18-30 year olds who are not in employment, education or training, or who are at risk of becoming unemployed.
The project through educational delivery and targeted work placement will give these young people the skills and experience to progress to positions ranging from clinical support roles to admin and corporate services.
The project aims to secure apprenticeship /employment opportunities for 75 participants in Health and Social Care settings where they will make a significant contribution and real difference.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Provide core team functions to facilitate the coordination and success of the Health and Social Care programme (partnership programme between Leeds City College and Prince’s Trust)
- Support key departments across the FE colleges to ensure referral, initial assessment and ongoing support processes are in place for project participants with a focus on supporting them into apprenticeships, work or further learning
- Work collaboratively with The Prince’s Trust, and other potential stakeholder organisations to ensure the programme is well promoted to ensure appropriate recruitment
- Work collaboratively with Apprenticeship and Business Engagement teams to ensure work placement opportunities are in place for each cohort
- Work with College Careers and Welfare teams and external organisations such as the National Careers Service to provide the appropriate support for each student
- Lead processes for monitoring and reporting on all aspects of the delivery and review of this programme
- Develop simple referral mechanisms and support curriculum teams to achieve recruitment targets for each cohort
- Develop strong links with external referral agencies and internally referring departments
- Develop opportunities for good practice to be shared and key learning to be drawn from each cohort. Ensure case studies are gathered after each cohort for programme promotion
YOUR PROFILE
You will have:
- Excellent communication and creative & critical thinking skills.
- Experience of coordinating projects and working across all aspects of project management activity, including:
- Experience of working and promoting collaboration in complex organisations
- Experience of influencing and supporting others to review progress and achieve improved outcomes
- Ability to coordinate projects within tight deadlines and experience of using project management methodologies
- Experience of organising and coordinating events/activities
