At Plumpton College we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and inspiring Viticulture Lecturer to join our high performing and well-credentialed team on a bank contract basis. The English wine industry is rapidly expanding an gaining a world class reputation for the quality of its wines. As a Viticulture Lecturer you will deliver effective theory and practical teaching, learning & assessment, supporting students to maximise their potential and make positive progress towards their timely success, future study and employment. We offer a foundation degree (FdSc) in Wine Production, a BSc in Viticulture and Oenology and an MSc in Viticulture and Oenology. Our graduates occupy key positions in the wine industry in the UK and in other parts of the world.

With a minimum of a Degree qualification in Business or a related subject, the ideal candidate will also possess a minimum Level 3 teaching qualification, or be willing to gain a relevant formal qualification in role. You will be a professional, hardworking and a confident team player with a track record of good or outstanding teaching. With a clear passion for your subject, you will be able to inspire and motivate our students. You will also have a flexible approach to teaching and learning and be confident in embracing the opportunity to develop virtual teaching delivery methods.

This position is being offered on a part-time basis (15 hours per week).  As well as a competitive salary, you can also look forward to 37 days holiday pro rata plus bank holidays (as well as up to 5 efficiency days at Christmas). The successful candidate will also have membership of the excellent teachers’ pension scheme as well as a range of other staff benefits including Employee Assistance Programme, Cycle to Work Scheme and staff discounts.
