Oldham College is a medium sized general further education college, with a turnover of almost £25m. It has one main campus in the centre of town, and this in the third phases of a £40m redevelopment which began in 2012.   Higher education is taught on a second, dedicated campus, a short walk away.   The College delivers a full range of work related education and training, including 16-18 programmes of study, T levels, apprenticeships, adult learning and higher education.  It has over 5000 full-time students and 600 undergraduates.   

The College is in the top quartile for 16-18 programmes of study and English GCSE resits, and in apprenticeship provision, but is the second highest performing provider Greater Manchester. The quality of its higher education provision is better than many established universities.

The Role:

 We are seeking to appoint an experienced Lecturer in Psychology who is able to contribute to the successful delivery of the Psychology BSc is validated by Sheffield Hallam University.

As Course Leader, the successful candidate will lead the course and undertake a range of teaching, module leadership and student support duties across our growing and established course at Foundation level, level 4, 5 and 6.

Experience and knowledge of teaching at this level in the subject of Psychology is essential for this role, and the ability to teach a range of current modules related to this discipline is also important. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to develop their academic career in a small and friendly environment, whilst utilising strong student support and employer engagement skills to drive a key area of growth for the campus. 

The successful candidate will have a proven record in inspirational teaching at HE level and have a demonstrable commitment to teaching and learning excellence.
