Deputy Librarian

Our modern, contemporary Greenwich campus was opened in 2020 in the heart of the Greenwich Peninsula, across three floors of the 6 Mitre Passage building. It is an ideal location to experience the best of the capital. Mitre Passage is just a 3 minute walk from North Greenwich tube station and the Jubilee line which runs into central London. It is close to the O2 arena and a variety of cafés, shops and leisure facilities, while nearby is the peaceful Greenwich Park, where the Royal Observatory played a major role in the history of astronomy and navigation.

The Deputy Librarian will help to develop, maintain and provide library services to students and staff across all course areas at CU London Greenwich. This is a new role which offers the opportunity for a broad range of experiences within a small team setup, reporting to the Library Manager at CU London Dagenham.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of Library services, along with the development and delivery of taught sessions, one-to-one appointments and self-guided materials to support students’ developing information literacy and academic skills across the campus and the wider CU Group. You will oversee the duties of and disseminate information to the two Library Assistants currently working at CUL Greenwich.

CU London operates over two locations in Dagenham and Greenwich. If successful, you will be assigned to Greenwich as a base campus on appointment but there is an expectation that you may need to travel between campuses in response to business needs.
