We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated member of staff to work with us as a lecturer within the School of Construction and the Built Environment on a permanent basis. You will be based at Inverness Campus.

Job Purpose:

We are seeking a suitably skilled person who enjoys teaching, learning and curriculum development to work within our School of Construction and the Built Environment delivering on our Quantity Surveying and Built Environment Programmes. The successful person will also be involved in an exciting opportunity to work with the team to develop our new Quantity Surveying degree programme for accreditation by RICS.

You will be required to deliver and design curriculum in an innovative manner with a focus on the sectors best practice. Being an effective team member and able to deliver a high-quality curriculum and educational experience is a key focus of this role.

Essential Criteria:

  • Quantity Surveying related qualification to at least SCQF Level 10/11.
  • Have relevant industrial experience.
  • Have current and relevant evidence of CPD.
  • Be a member or working towards membership of RICS.

You should also be flexible, reflective, innovative, creative, and personally committed to continuing vocational and professional development.

You should possess effective interpersonal skills and have good IT skills in applications such as MS Office and other relevant subject related software packages.

Please note: the successful post holder will need to pass a satisfactory PVG Scheme check through Disclosure Scotland prior to commencing employment.
