Location: Various across Kirklees - local travel required

Hours: 37 hours per week, 40 weeks per year 

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Pastoral Department within the Student Experience Directorate at Kirklees College. The role is cross college and flexibility to travel to other college sites is required of the successful candidate.

The overall purpose of the post is to develop and deliver an appropriate, relevant and student responsive programme of cross college enrichment and character education that is accessible to all students. You will work with the Student Voice team to effectively support the students’ Union by facilitating student led groups and campaigns. Actively promote Equality, Diversity and Inclusion values across all activities. You will facilitate engaging activities which support behaviours & attitudes, wellbeing and personal development. 

The ideal candidates will have previous experience of working with young people in an educational/ youth work or guidance capacity. You will have experience of using and maintaining digital platforms and online content, including social media, which captures the interest of our students.

The qualifications deemed essential for the post are a minimum of a Level 2 qualification in literacy and numeracy (e.g. GCSE English and Maths at grade A*-C) and educated to Level 3 e.g. BTEC, NVQ, A-Level equivalent. The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is also essential for the post.

Kirklees College is a large successful FE college, currently Ofsted graded as Good. Operating across Kirklees with centres based in Huddersfield and Dewsbury.
