An opportunity has arisen for a LSA to join our experienced AP (Alternative Provision) team at Keighley college.

This is a Part Time role - Monday - Friday 09:00 - 2:30, Term Time Only (39 Weeks)

WHAT WE DO 

We offer a high-quality provision for students aged 14-16 SEND & SEMH needs.

An individualised bespoke programme is offered to all our students across five days a week.

The AP offer a wide range of curriculum subjects in order to make sure all students have a positive experience.

As a result of the high-quality provision, we are looking for someone that can make a difference to our young people's lives and support our learners in both theory and practical lessons.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Involved in planning and preparation and assessment of learning as part of the course team.
  • Provide in-class support to meet identified need of students who have high needs.
  • Provide curriculum teachers/assessors and Learning Support team members with verbal reports on students who have high needs.

YOUR PROFILE 

You will have experience of working with students with high needs or and SEND needs.

  • Experience of working with students who have high needs or SEND needs to support their learning through identifying strategies and preparing young people for adulthood.
  • Able to establish rapport and to maintain professional boundaries.
  • Experience of working in a team in an educational setting.
