Further Education Colleges sit at the heart of their local communities but their reach is much greater. Nottingham College is one of the largest providers of education & training in the East Midlands offering courses from entry level through to degree and a significant provider of apprenticeships and bespoke training for businesses locally, nationally and globally.

Contract: 22.2 hours per week, Fixed term until 31st July 2022

The COVID-19 pandemic has led to significant disruption to the country as a whole and in particular to the education and training of our children and young people. To support us in navigating this ever changing landscape, as we prepare for the start of a new academic year we are seeking to appoint a COVID Response Manager who will successfully guide us and our organisational responses during and after the crisis as we continue to move towards the ‘new normal’.

Our COVID Response Manager will take the strategic lead on the college’s response, and ensure that the college is able to prepare, respond and react effectively to changing or developing situations by interpreting government and sector guidance as it applies to the college. You will ensure we have all the relevant risk assessments in place, develop working and operating practices which enable the college to provide covid safe working environments for its staff and productive learning environments for its students.

You will have a relevant health & safety or public health background preferably in a complex multi-site operation. You will have your finger on the pulse, be knowledgeable, resilient, calm in a crisis and have experience in incident management. You will be able to respond at pace, initiate and implement solutions which meet emerging challenges and ensure all administration and required reporting takes place.
