We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated individual, ideally with teaching experience, to make a significant contribution to a team of staff delivering courses to our Landbased students.

You'll be working across a varied curriculum with groups of students to provide hands on and relevant commercial experiences. You will play a vital role in ensuring the College is best placed to serve the needs of industry and our students by demonstrating key practical skills including safe animal handling in a range of practical sessions. You will lead engaging and relevant practical lessons for students on the Level 1 – 3 Agriculture courses and assist in developing schemes of work and lesson plans for practical lessons. Working alongside the commercial farm team within the farm environment and as part of the academic team to ensure that the course offer is relevant to industry.

The college welcomes applicants with previous training or teaching experience, for industry experienced candidates with no prior teaching experience you should have a willingness to undertake a teacher training qualification within your first year. The successful candidate will be working with students up to level 3 courses and will therefore need to be qualified to level 3 in an industry specific subject. Extensive knowledge of livestock practices particularly cattle and sheep, knowledge of machinery and arable practices, previous practical experience within livestock and arable farming practices and high levels of Health and Safety knowledge are essential
