Learning Coach

Learning Coach 2 x posts available  / Fixed Term until June 2022 Term Time Only / 37 hours per week

(Actual salary is based on Term Time Only weeks worked)

Approximate salary based on £24,162 (September 2021 - June 2022) = £19,176.96

This role is part of the Student Support and Wellbeing wrap around service we provide for every learner  and focuses on supporting post-16 learners who need help with aspects of their academic study in order to succeed.  The post holder will need to be able to offer support on a 121 basis and to small groups of learners.  This support will be bespoke to theindividual needs.  

One of the posts available is to support male learners on our Junior Apprenticeships programme, therefore we would welcome male applicants due to the context and environment of learning. 

What are we looking for? 

  • Experience of providing support and coaching in schools or of providing additional learning support/basic skills support to learners Basic Skills Qualification (or willingness to achieve L2 & L3) Learning Coach Qualification/Youth work or similar Qualification Previous experience of working with young people with complex social, behavioural and or emotional difficulties (desirable).

Please note that although this is a Term Time Only contract, there will be a requirement to work throughout August during the weeks of Summer School.
