We are seeking to appoint a part time Media Technician to join our successful team, based at our Uxbridge Campus.  Working closely with staff and students, you will support a variety of courses including Game Design, Film & TV and Journalism.  Students on all courses are required to undertake video editing assignments and cut their own projects and stories. We have excellent facilities including a TV studio and a mix of Mac and PC labs.  

Responsibilities of the post include supporting and training students in the use of media hardware and software, and leading workshops in both audio and video production.  You would also ensure that equipment is serviced and repaired where necessary and will be responsible for logging/tracking equipment usage.  You would also maintain all Mac related networked and standalone devices, install and configure hardware and software and provide first line support to end users on all Mac/PC related hardware and operating software issues.

You will need to possess a minimum of Level 4 qualification in IT or a media technology related subject area and have good working knowledge of Mac/windows operating systems and experience of Adobe cc software.  Some experience of working in the media industry is required, and you should also be well-organised with good communication skills and be able to work flexibly when required.
