The Position: We’re looking for an Estates Deputy Team Leader (Wigston Based)

Requirements for the role:

  • Experience of supporting line management and customer service in a similar position within a large organisation
  • Manual/Craft skills relevant to undertaking of routine maintenance tasks
  • Willing to travel/Work across all college Campus when required
  • Ability to work without close supervision and contribute to the development of the Estates Team

Responsibilities for the role:

  • To support and assist the Estates Team Leader in managing the Team in a clear, positive and structure manner. Ensure shift rotas are robust and cover arranged as needed, monitoring and evaluation of the team, fair allocation/sharing of work as appropriate to individuals based on competency and ensuring all mandatory /appropriate training is provided and completed to ensure competence and knowledge.
  • To help deliver, coordinate and monitor planned preventative maintenance schedules and statutory compliance, ensuring records are kept and corrective actions completed using the relevant Estates helpdesk and record systems.
  • To provide clean safe sites for all, ensuring good Health and safety practices and create an environment conducive to learning.

The Location: The post is based at: Wigston Campus, but travel to all campuses will be required as part of the role.  This is a great place to live with plenty of social and sport facilities together with great transport links.

What we do

North Warwickshire and South Leicestershire College (NWSLC) is a large Further Education college offering a wide range of full-time, part-time, Higher Education and Apprenticeship programmes over six campuses based within Warwickshire and Leicestershire.

The College also works with over 600 businesses across a wide range of sectors – working with organisations to determine their ‘training needs analysis’. We then design a programme to match your (the employer’s) requirements.
