An opportunity has become available to become part of our construction teaching team.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with relevant experience in the industry who is passionate about their trade and able to inspire and upskill others.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

You will be required to deliver industry relevant skills within a practical setting and support this with classroom-based theory.

You will manage learners on programmes where you will be responsible for ensuring the learners engage throughout the year and then progress towards employment in the industry.

You will help in developing the curriculum and be responsive to market changes to ensure we are promoting the most current industry-based skills and knowledge, working closely with our apprenticeship provision to meet local demand.

You will also support the team in the quality assurance process, ensuring that delivery and assessment meets and exceeds the requirements of the awarding body.

You will be expected to maintain and update knowledge of the subject/professional area and co-operate in any staff development activities.

YOUR PROFILE 

The right candidate will be passionate about the Construction industry and also about education.

Having the drive and enthusiasm to develop and drive a quality and enriching programme is a fundamental.

Brick working skills are essential and an experience of other trades such as groundworks and plumbing is desirable.

An experience of teaching and/or assessing is preferred but applications without this background would be considered for the right candidate.

If you are an EU, EEA or Swiss citizen and you were resident in the UK on or before 31 December 2020, you have until 30 June 2021 to apply to the EU Settlement Scheme, you can continue to prove your right to work in the UK with your passport and identity card up until 30 June 2021. 

There is no change to immigration and right to work for British and Irish Citizens.
