The Centre requires Politics and Economics Tutors. The centre is looking to add some Politics and/or Economics courses to its course offer in Humanities and Social Sciences, having previously run successful courses in these subject areas. We are looking for someone who is keen, inspirational and has a special flair. We are interested in talking to someone with a depth of knowledge in politics and/or economics who could offer introductory courses to develop the interest of students in the subject, as well as offering somewhat more specialist courses exploring particular topics or themes.

You are very welcome to include proposals of the kinds of courses you would like to offer as part of the application process. Details of the kinds of courses we have run previously are available upon request.

General Information

The Centre’s main premises at 42 Queen Square, Holborn consist of two interconnecting Grade II listed Georgian houses overlooking the Square.   The Centre also holds classes in a second, modern building at Blackfriars Settlement, 1 Rushworth Street, SE1 0RB which is a short walk from Southwark Station.  The atmosphere at both buildings is relaxed and friendly but purposeful.  Students come from all walks of life, both local and London wide (and beyond). Their education, work and life experience vary enormously. Some students do not have English as their first language.
