Contract: 37 hours per week, Permanent

An opportunity has arisen for a Procurement Manager to join our team at the College. We are looking for someone with experience of procurement in a large organisation, leading on procurement projects and continuing to embed procurement throughout the organisation. This will also involve making sure all relevant staff are aware of the College’s procurement strategy, providing training and advice as required.

You will be able to take budget holders’ requirements and translate them into tender documentation, overseeing the process to award of the tender and providing objective feedback to unsuccessful tenderers. The post holder will also be expected to be fully aware of and make best use of existing frameworks and purchasing consortia.

There is a requirement to work closely with purchase ledger staff, ensuring a robust supplier set up process, looking to constantly rationalise the College’s supplier base, reviewing buying patterns and identifying opportunities for single source supply across the College.

The post holder will be required to maintain a contracts register and be able to produce periodic reports on value for money and the overall position regarding spend under contract.

A CIPS qualification is a requirement. Someone with innovative and creative ideas would be ideal as we seek to make Nottingham College an outstanding college.

During the Covid pandemic, our team has been working successfully from home (as well as in the office where practical) and it is likely that post-pandemic, as the College continues to move towards more agile working practices, this will continue for a significant proportion of our working week.
