Askham Bryan College is a specialist land-based college with campuses across the North of England.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Further Education Programme Manager to join our Animal Management Department here at our York campus. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is capable of working with others and is responsible, passionate and knowledgeable about the overall animal management sector and is enthusiastic about providing outstanding education.
The role will be working 37 hours per week, on a fixed term contract (2nd August 2021 until 1st July 2022).
Reporting to the Head of Department, this role will support in managing the Course Manager and Lecturing Team. You will work closely with the Head of Department to drive forward quality and ensure high standards within all elements of the student’s study programme, full cost and Adult Education provision. Your role will include supporting in the day to day running of the department and other duties such as lead IQA, supporting with management duties and managing staff absence, supporting with the department’s self-assessment and quality improvement plans.
Educated to degree level or above in a relevant subject, candidates should hold a teaching qualification. It is not essential that candidates hold a leadership and management qualification, however it is desirable that the candidates would be willing to work towards one.
