This is an outstanding opportunity to become the Programme Manager for Plumpton College’s flourishing Animal Management Higher Education (HE) courses. The successful applicant will develop, lead and teach on our foundation and honours degree programmes which are validated by the Royal Agricultural University. 

This is a pivotal role in which the successful candidate will manage all aspects of our HE programmes including timetabling, extracurricular activities and student experience. The successful candidate will contribute to the college-wide HE research strategy and research opportunities exist for suitably qualified candidates, such as leading the research ethics process for the college or related to the planned development of our Animal management Centre.

We are seeking a bright, professional and ambitious individual who has the ability to provide our HE students with an excellent experience. You may have recently completed, or be close to completing, a post graduate qualification in a relevant discipline and are looking for your first role in academia. If so, the College has the support in place to ensure you develop your management and teaching skills, and you will be supported with excellent CPD. With the opportunity to gain a teaching qualification in your first year in post. You will also be supported to apply for HEA Fellowship. If you are a more experienced academic we can offer the support to further your career, whether that be in teaching, management and/or research.

This an extremely exciting time to joining the Animal Management Team at Plumpton with major developments planned imminently for the Animal Centre. The developments will include an increase in our Animal collection with exciting native and exotic species being planned for. Your team will consist of a wide variety of experts from Education and the Animal sector, all contributing to the exiting future of the departments.
