University Centre Askham Bryan: Lecturer Crops Management

Full Time, Permanent Contract – York Campus

Hours: 37 hours per week (1.0FTE)

Askham Bryan College is a specialist land-based college based across the North of England.

We have an exciting opportunity for a University Centre Lecturer specialising in Crops Management here at our York campus. This is a permanent role working 37 hours per week, however we may consider a job share for the right candidate(s).

The successful applicant will be a proactive and self-motivated individual, who will work closely with University Centre Team, the wider curriculum team and Farm staff when required.

The ideal candidate should hold a formal level 7 qualification or higher, either in the subject area or possess extensive working knowledge in the subject area. Excellent knowledge of Crop Management, Plant & Soil Science, Agricultural Mechanisation, Grassland Management and Agronomy from a British, European and global prospective. You will have excellent communication skills, be experienced with Microsoft programs and be willing to work flexibly to meet the needs of the business and support outstanding student experience, marketing opportunities and industry engagement.
