Student Bursary Co-ordinator (Maternity Cover)

We have a great opportunity based at our Bedford campus for a Student Bursary Co-ordinator (Maternity Cover) to become a key member of our Finance department.

As a Student Bursary Co-ordinator (Maternity Cover), you will play a pivotal role in the success of our students through:

• Sourcing bursary related data from a number of systems deriving analytics to recommend new strategies.
• Maintaining and updating the online student bursary system.
• Using behavioural science to steer administration and communication.
• Organising and scheduling payment runs
• Posting accounting transactions and perform balance sheet reconciliations within the accounting systems.
• Analysing reconcile and report student support funds and process statutory and other returns/claims

Our ideal candidates will have experience of processing accounting entries in a Finance system and experience of preparing month end balance sheet reconciliations, alongside the following qualifications:

• Level 4 AAT
• Minimum of 5 GCSEs grade 4 or above, or equivalent, including mathematics and English 
• Customer service training
• Recent continual professional development

Fixed term contract, Maternity Cover

37 hours per week (1.0 FTE) / 52 weeks per year

273 hours holiday per annum
