Content Marketing Officer
Could you be our next Content Marketing Officer? This role is an exciting opportunity to weave storytelling into everything we do at the college. We have so many fantastic stories to tell and we can’t wait for you to write about them and share them widely.
The ideal candidate will be able to discover, translate and output creative content about the college. They will be able to identify what makes a good story, who it’s aimed at and where it needs to be placed for maximum coverage. They will have knowledge of creating content that can be used for a variety of media, including press releases, presentations, web and social, and understand the difference between the way this content is written and formatted.
Being able to seek out a good story, or translate something very technical into readable content, lies at the heart of this role, as is the ability to sell it into the media. We’re looking for someone who will learn fast, turn things around quickly and have a flexible approach.
Most of all, however, it’s the softer skills that bring this all together. You must be able to build good relationships with colleagues, students and stakeholders to ensure a continuous pipeline of activity, that’s well planned, authentic and impactful.
As well as a competitive salary, you can also look forward to 26 days holiday plus bank holidays (as well as up to 5 efficiency days at Christmas), and membership of the excellent local government pension scheme as well as a range of other staff benefits. This is a full-time permanent role.
