Plumpton College is looking to recruit enthusiastic and literate individuals to join our highly successful team on a full time or part-time permanent basis to help teach Maths to 16 to 19-year-old students from Functional Skills Entry level to GCSE level.

Successful candidates will have the opportunity to:

  • Deliver inspirational lessons to maintain our high standards and achievement rates
  • Contribute to the planning, development and review of assessments
  • Promote high levels of attendance, achievement and retention of all our learners.
  • Further develop skills as a teacher of maths

A Level 3 Maths qualification or above would be an advantage but not strictly essential if you have the aptitude and enthusiasm to work with young learners. You may be an undergraduate who would like to gain some experience within the FE sector. You may also be thinking of returning to work in the education sector after a break.

We offer our staff body a range of excellent teacher training options, including a level 4 certificate, and University of Brighton CertEd and a PGCE options for non-qualified teachers (subject to validation from the University of Brighton).
