Welcome to Ada!
We are a specialist digital skills college training and developing diverse higher-level apprentices into fantastic roles in the tech sector and transforming their lives in the process. We work with over 35 of the most cutting-edge companies who choose us because of the amazing quality of our teaching, learning and support.
In London we have nearly 250 apprentices on roll from a wide range of backgrounds: 75% are recent school leavers, a third are young women, one third third ethnic minority backgrounds and many come from tough backgrounds. They represent over 15 different nationalities. They are united by their passion and enthusiasm for tech.
We are at an exciting time in the development of Ada. We have recently launched a hub for Ada activity in Manchester, with our first cohort of apprentices starting in February this year.
We are now building our team in preparation for further growth this Autumn. We are looking to recruit someone inspired by Ada’s mission and energised by the chance to play a key role in establishing Ada in Manchester from the ground up.
Your role will be integral in adopting and adapting Ada’s current apprenticeship programme to a regional specific context, and you will work closely with our academic team in London on the development and delivery of course material.
You will have experience of teaching or skills development in the tech sector, and an understanding of what good teaching and learning looks like. The ideal candidate will also have either direct industry experience or recent knowledge of a range of the skills and tools needed to be successful in entry-level roles such as Software Engineer, Developer or Data Analyst. While you won't be expected to have expertise in every topic, you will have a strong grasp of how a range of areas in the teaching of advanced digital skills fit together.
You will be an enthusiastic professional who is keen to take on a new challenge and share your expertise with the next generation of digital pioneers. We will invest in your development so that you can build your skills and change the lives of thousands of young people.
Longer-term, the appointed candidate will have the opportunity to play a significant part in shaping a new education institution for the North West that has a unique model designed to support a young person with an interest in technology all the way through to a good quality entry-level job in the tech sector whilst equipping them to lead a successful career and life.
